I would like to use this opportunity to pardon myself from unwanted hurt or insult that I may inflict with my writing. I am often quite direct in my stories, which are of course just my opinion. I am originally Dutch. We are famous for our straight-forwardness. This can sometimes come across as simple minded or blunt. I have the tendency to express myself in a direct and sometimes insensitive manner. For the sake of storytelling I think this works. I don't intend to hold back. Underlying one can read many personal convictions which are, once again, never meant to hurt anybodies feelings.
Travelling in almost 50 countries, learning and tasting from all that's on sale I have been influenced by everything. Adopted some strange habits (i.e. if I speak about the future I need to say Inch Allah) but never forgetting where I am from. A simple Dutch sailors family. Pray and Work. Carpe Diem.
