This weeks' photo. Lioness in Livingstone.

My good friend Ross gave me some welcome advice on how to make my blog more attractive and interesting. He is an experienced blogger from Scotland, currently travelling and always writing (click here to check his blog) and his was advice was NOT to put up more photo's featuring my self ;-) He does know my photography and adventures pretty well though so he told me I should at least once every week post a new photo... so here goes!

This one was taken in Livingstone, Zambia, right next to Mosi O Tunya, The Smoke That Thunders, the local name for the Victoria Falls. Of course they were named after the Late Queen of England by Dr. Livingstone, some 150 years ago, whose statue can be found at the entrance to both the Zambian and the Zimbabwen National Park of the waterfalls. More about these falls and what you should and should not do here in my other post or page.

The Lioness is about one year old and already you can feel her strength. She is one of a group of three girls and one boy that are available for tourists to take out on a walk. They play around, run around, do some fake attacks and are fantastic to watch from up close and personal. Besides more obvious thrills to be had at the Vic Falls, like rafting, bungee jumping and helicopter flights over the falls, this is definitely one of my favourites. And it sure makes for cool pictures!
